I spent this past weekend getting my fill of Rylie Danae Goodwin and loved every second of it. I told Chelsey I wanted to help with everything while I was in town, so that included 3:00 am feedings and the subsequent one hour burping sessions. I was tired, but overflowing with love for this little person. With Chelsey's baby and Mandy's on the way, I am the closest I will be to an Aunt until my brothers and sisters have children and they haven't even started dating yet! So needless to say, I am just beside myself. I couldn't get enough. My biggest problem so far is the lie I am believing that somehow money spent on the babies doesn't really come out of my checking account. It's as if I have some unlimited supply of a baby fund...not good.

I can't wait to see her again. And I can't wait to meet Olivia Clare Eden! Did I tell you it's going to be a girl? We'll see you in January (maybe February) Olivia!

Have you seen the lady in Chicago who is trying to live her life like Oprah suggests? You know how Oprah is always saying "do this and your life will be better" and "you HAVE to have this"? Well, this girl has set herself up to be very exhausted because Oprah is full of contradictions :)

I am in no way an Oprah basher and I really enjoy watching most of her shows, so I found this very interesting...

She started January 1, so you may have to do some catching up or just jump on board now if you're interested.

Caedmon's Call album, Share the Well, is one of my favorites--lyrically speaking. And when I read this article, I immediately thought of this line from the song, Mother India.

Those of us living in developed countries spend so much time feeling saddened over the millions of people living in unspeakable physical conditions with no food, shelter or clean water--and rightly so! Yet, we often overlook the sad reality of those of us living lavish, comfortable lives...we have believed lie after lie and found ourselves in bondage though we have fought hard for freedom. For a child to stand in for another child who isn't attractive enough to perform is another way Satan takes the victory. Just disgusting, China. Maybe we haven't heard the full story...

In case you haven't heard yet, Matt surprised me with a visit to Georgia!!

Thursday night I was at Babies 'R Us with Mandy shopping for a shower gift and he came walking around the corner like it was no big deal...Mandy was in on it (turns out a lot of people were in on it...), but I dropped everything on the floor and made a scene as though he had just returned home from war or something. He was embarrassed, but what did he expect?

Turns out the fun wasn't over...Glenn and Kristin were fellow surprises!! I have been dreaming of this visit for months now and looking forward to giving the Murdocks a taste of the South, but figured it would be a while before that happened. Best part about it, I didn't have to do any of the planning...Matt already had a perfect weekend planned! In all of the excitement, I didn't bring my camera along for the fun, so these are all I really have.

I did document one thing from Matt's phone...

We carved our initials in a tree at the lake (obviously my idea). And Matt would probably like you to know that is not a giant bald spot on the side of his head...just the sun shining.

I took my sisters to Surfside Water Park in Auburn on Friday...here are a couple of pictures. All in all, it was a very refreshing day. I forgot how scary water slides can really be...as well as how disgusting walking around with no shoes on in a public park really is.

I will say, it's no White Water, but I'm not hatin'.
